Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Frankie

8 and over

We are taking interest in Frankie who is looking for a special home who are willing to work with his behavioural needs and make multiple trips to the centre to meet him. To apply to rehome Frankie, please click on the ' Rehoming me starts here' button below. Frankie is a handsome 10 year old Cocker spaniel who despite his age has plenty of energy and loves nothing more than going for nice walks. He's ball mad but with his age we are having to manage his exercise a little as he can get carried away and overexert himself. He's a busy boy so will need owners to keep his brain engaged and give him lots of things to do to prevent him getting bored and finding his own things to do! He is sociable with dogs and could live with another well socialised, calm dog already in the home.

Type of home needed

Frankie can be worried by loud noises, and due to his behaviours will need to live in a quiet rural area. He will need an adult only home with a maximum of two adults with no visiting children. He is happy to be left for a few hours however this will need to be gradually built up. Frankie will often pick things up in the home and chew them to relieve anxiety and get attention from his humans. It's important new owners never remove items from him and understand how to manage him in these situations. Ideally his new home would have history with a dog with similar issues. Frankie doesn't like to travel in the car so needs a home that can minimise this to only essential journeys like the vets. He would be happy in a home with access to rural land rather than having to go on car journeys for his walks.

More about me

Due to Frankie's individual and behavioural needs, he will need to be rehomed within one hour's drive of the centre.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
