We’ve set up new processes which include social distancing measures to help keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Likes

Izzy is a 10 year old West Highland Terrier Cross Poodle. She is a sweet older girl who still enjoys being on the go and meeting doggy friends. She loves people and having a fuss and would like a home where she can cuddle up next to you on the sofa.

Type of home needed

Izzy is looking for her retirement home with owners who are around for most of the day, any time being left would need to be done gradually. Izzy can live with another dog already in the home, but we are unsure what she is like with cats or small animals. Izzy can live with children aged 11 years and over. She will make a loving companion in her new home.

More about me

Izzy does have some medical conditions which will be supported by the shared adoption scheme which can be discussed further. We will be taking applications for Izzy and the home chosen will be based on suitability. An appointment will then be arranged with the potential adopter to visit her at the Centre. The applications close on Friday 7th August at 4pm. Please be aware that applications may close early if we receive a high level of applications. To request a rehoming questionnaire, please email [email protected] and a form will be emailed back to you.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming.
