James is a 5-year-old French bulldog. He is a bundle of fun and loves to be around people. He loves his food and his toys but can struggle to hold them at times due to his overshot jaw. He is an active boy, who loves to run around our compounds and go for walks around our woods.

Type of home needed

James is looking for an active family home who will be able to keep him busy. He is able to live with children over the age of 16, but the home must be consistent for him so that he doesn't get overwhelmed. James can get stressed when in the presence of other dogs, so must be the only pet in the home, and must also have easy access to low dog populated walks. He would also like his own private garden where he can safely explore without the pressure of seeing other dogs.

More about me

If James sounds like your perfect match, please get in contact to express an interest. Please note that if you rent your property, you must be able to provide written permission from your landlord to keep a dog to complete the rehome process. Due to expected high levels of interest you will only hear back from us if we are able to proceed with your application. We will conduct a rehoming interview with successful applicants and home visit via video. Access to emails and video technology will be essential for this process.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Canterbury Rehoming Centre in Kent.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
