Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

Duke is only 6 months old and already looking for his third home. He's a complex chap who needs an adopter that understands his breed and can look past his good looks and youth. He is very active and needs to have his body and mind stimulated regularly, and has already been having a go at scent work to give him something to focus on. Duke responds very well to training and is looking for an experienced family who aren't afraid to put some work in. Duke loves to be made a fuss of and gets all puppy-silly when you give him some affection, and definitely returns it tenfold. He also loves meeting new people but needs to learn a more polite way of doing than his current feet-first method!

Type of home needed

Duke is very young but seems to suffer some pain in his elbows and is currently on a pain relief trial. This may affect him in the future, especially as he is such an active dog, please feel free to contact us to discuss it in more detail. He enjoys other dogs but is terribly rude and can be grabby, so until he has learnt to control himself a little more, Duke needs to be the only pet at home, with some careful introductions outside of the house. As Duke can be quite mouthy, he isn't suitable for living with children, any youngsters in the home will need to be older teens. As his training needs are quite complex and cover multiple issues, our team at the centre will be on hand throughout Duke's adoption and beyond, making sure that everyone is getting the support they need.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Merseyside Rehoming Centre in Liverpool.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.
