Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Dobby

2 to 5 Years

Dobby is an amazing 3 year old Lurcher X, he is a great character and always manages to put a smile on your face! He loves saying hello to his favourite people and will often nuzzle/lean into them for a gentle fuss. He enjoys being kept busy, he is very clever and loves to learn new things and do fun training, he is always eager to show off his tricks especially when yummy treats are on offer! Dobby is great company on walks when in quiet areas, he loves being out and about and would be best suited to an active home that wants to explore new places with him!

Type of home needed

Dobby is looking for a home with a private secure garden with no neighbouring dogs where he can relax and play with his favourite toys. He will need a non open plan home so he can enjoy his own space. Dobby can live with children aged 16 years and over who are comfortable around large dogs. Dobby is a bit worried by certain dogs, particularly larger males, but has been friendly towards some smaller dogs and females, he will need owners that are comfortable working on this to help build his confidence. He will need to be the only pet in the home. Because he has been uncomfortable around some dogs, Dobby will be going home on a lead and muzzle disclaimer which means he will need to be wear both of these things when out on his walks.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Manchester Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
