Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Toby

2 to 5 Years

Toby is a charming lad who has spent most of his 4 years living outside, so he's finding a lot of things quite new and strange. He's rather cuddly and loves to interact with you, but he can be unsure when it comes to more formal things such as grooming. He would love to find a family who will show him patience whilst he gets used to his new routine. Toby will play with toys on and off, but we think this will increase when he is settled at home and has relaxed.

Type of home needed

Toby isn't happy when other dogs are nearby and will bark. We are teaching him to focus on us and ignore the other dogs, and his adopters will need to continue this at home. Full support will always be available from the team at the centre. Toby has no experience of being around children, so alongside his nervousness, we feel he's more suited to a home where any children are of late teenage. He will need a secure garden as we are told he can be something of an escapist when the mood strikes.

We do everything we can to provide essential care for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs who need us, now more than ever. If you'd like to help us during these challenging times, please make a donation. Your support means so much to us all, thank you.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Merseyside Rehoming Centre in Liverpool.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
