Duke is a sweet lad who has been described by his carers as 'bright as a button'. He has his sensitivities about the world and struggles with unfamiliarity, so is hopeful to find patient owners who can provide him with extra support and continue his training. The other side of Duke's character is an active, fun-loving boy who plays like a big puppy and enjoys a game with his toys. Although he's an independent lad, once you've built up a strong bond with him, he'll relish your company and always greet you with an excitable waggy-tail.
Type of home needed
Duke will need to be the only pet, in an adult-only household with no visiting children. His dream home would be somewhere relaxing, with quiet walking areas nearby and a garden of his own. Duke has learnt to wear his muzzle when out and about and he'll need to continue doing so. Centre staff will provide ongoing training once in his home to help him settle and adjust to his new surroundings, so he is looking to live within a 90 mins drive of the centre. His potential owners must be willing to make multiple visits get to know him due to his insecurities with meeting strangers.
More about me
Duke has tonnes of potential to make a wonderful companion in the right home. Please call our centre in advance of your visit so that we can make sure his special friend is available to chat to you.
