Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public but you can still adopt some of our dogs: take a look at their profiles to see which ones. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming.

We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe. We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

I'm looking for a new home...

Likes

Finn is a 3 year old Border Collie. Finn enjoys going for walks and playing with his favourite ball. He loves being outside and he can often be found rolling in the long grass or sniffing around looking for new and exciting smells. Finn has had an upsetting past and does struggle to trust new people.

Type of home needed

He is a very affectionate boy with people he knows but is wary of strangers and other dogs. He would love to live in a quiet adult only home in a rural area where he is less likely to come across them. Finn is an active boy who enjoys roaming the hills or exploring the woodlands. Finn is looking for someone who has owned Collies before.

More about me

Finn is a lovely boy, he is house-trained, happy to be left alone for a few hours and can travel well in the car. Finn adores his owners and is very loving and loyal towards them. Finn would like to be the only pet in the home, this way he can have 1-2-1 training and thrive at home. I am not currently available for rehoming as I would like to meet my new family a few times before I go home, which is not possible at the moment due to current restrictions. My Canine Carers will let you know as soon as this changes, so keep an eye on my profile.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Finn, who is based at West Calder (Edinburgh). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog.

We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe. We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming.

We will, of course, be doing everything to ensure the safety of our staff, and adopters when we offer this service. You can find out more about this below.
