Are you right for Sox?

Sox is looking for a home with a family willing to give him time, and help him feel more comfortable in the world. Being a young pup, he still has lots of learning to do and relies on his people to reassure him that everything is ok at times! He can live with children aged 12 or older who understand his sensitive side and will give him space when he needs it. Sox would need to be the only dog in his home and would benefit from having some low dog populated areas he could visit when out and about, although this is not a necessity. Unfortunately, Sox has not yet had masses of training in his young age and therefore would benefit from learning all his basic skills as well as the fun stuff. This will help him build his confidence and bond with his new family. Whilst he has been housetrained it is likely he will need a refresher in his in his new home so access to a private, secure garden is needed. Sox is very worried about being left alone, so is looking for an adopter who is home the majority of the time and can keep him company and make him feel safe, with the potential to build up leaving after he has settled in. Sox will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Is Sox right for you?

Sox is a fluffy, friendly, 7-month-old Dachshund x Yorkshire Terrier. He is a ball of fun that loves a fuss and to sit on a shoulder of his favourite people! Whilst he hasn’t figured out toys just yet, he enjoys a tasty treat. He walks nicely on lead and likes to be by your side for the majority of the time, taking the world in with some reassurance from his favourite people. This affectionate little lad is looking for his new home.
