Homeless hound looking for his one and only this Valentine’s Day – and they must be single!
As we approach the most romantic day of the year, staff at Dogs Trust Loughborough are hoping love is in the air for a little dog whose heart’s desire is to find a forever home with a two-legged friend – who is single!
Jack Russell Terrier, Bud, has his paws crossed in the hope that love will blossom this Valentine’s Day after arriving at the rehoming centre more than two years ago.
Celine Di Crocco, Manager at Dogs Trust Loughborough, says:
“Bud is a sweet, sensitive boy but he would like a home with a single person as he thrives when he has got a really solid, consistent bond with someone and he can lap up all the love they have to give.
“He will be a really loyal companion, he just likes to take his time to get to know you but once he does he’ll be by your side forever.”
Bud, who is now seven, was found wandering the streets in 2015 and the ordeal dented his confidence so since his arrival, the team have worked with him to help him understand the world can be a fun place to be. He loves to be busy and thoroughly enjoys a good walk, and the opportunity to sniff out new places. He also loves to learn and with the help of his special someone will be more than willing to show off all his skills in return for a tasty treat.
“Bud is a typical terrier so he likes to be on the go and is looking for a soul mate who also loves to get out and about. He really does deserve to find his one and only so if there is a single person out there this Valentine’s Day whose ideal partner might be of the four-legged kind, we hope they fall for beautiful Bud.”
