Are you right for Tag?

Tag is an 11-year-old Parson Russell Terrier cross with a big heart and a gentle, affectionate nature. He is currently in our Home from Home fostering scheme whilst we find him his forever home. He’s a real companion dog who loves nothing more than being by your side, whether that’s pottering in the garden, snoozing at your feet, or heading out on a walk. Tag would love a calm home where someone is around most of the time, as he thrives on company and can become unsettled when left on his own. He would prefer to be the only pet in the home so he can soak up all the attention, but he would be happy to walk alongside calm dogs after a proper introduction. Tag could live with dog-savvy children aged 12 and up who understand how to give dogs space when needed. He’s looking for a home with a secure, private garden with a minimum 4ft fence where he can enjoy exploring safely. Tag would be a great match for first-time owners who are ready to welcome a loving, loyal friend into their lives.

Is Tag right for you?

Tag is a calm, sweet-natured boy who adores people and forms strong bonds quickly. He’s friendly with everyone he meets and has been happy to greet children, adults, and other dogs on his walks. He walks well on lead, enjoys soft toys, and is more than happy to relax at home between his outdoor adventures. He’s also a brilliant travel companion who settles quietly in the car and can be taken on trips or errands with ease. While Tag may be in his senior years, he still enjoys his three daily walks and has plenty of energy for play and exploring. He is housetrained, gentle on the lead, and easy to handle for grooming and vet visits. Tag does need someone who can support him with building his confidence when left alone, as he finds being left at home quite difficult. He’ll need a patient and loving owner who can be there for him while he settles into his new routine. Tag has some mild age-related health needs, which will be discussed with potential adopters on successful application, however, these do not stop him from enjoying life to the fullest, and he continues to brighten every day with his affectionate nature and lovable personality. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly, and well-mannered companion who just wants to be part of your world, Tag might be the perfect addition to your home. Disclaimer: Sadly, Tag has had their tail docked. This is illegal in the UK and we absolutely do not condone it. We hope we can find Tag a loving home. AWE licence number 13090 by West Lothian Council.
