Are you right for Betty?

Betty and Buttons are a pair of adorable little 8 year old Chihuahuas looking to find their forever home together. They are looking for a more chilled out home where they can take things at a slower pace and have a lap to snooze on, they really appreciate human company so would like to have someone at home with them for most of the day. They could live with dog savvy secondary school aged children who understand that they appreciate gentle handling and do not always want to be picked up and carried. At night time Betty and Buttons settle well and sleep in their own bed in the foster carers bedroom. They could share their home with another dog pending successful meets and could live with a dog savvy cat as Betty initially was more interested in the foster carers cat and barked at her and would have tried to chase but they did settle down well together.

Is Betty right for you?

Betty can be a little bit more timid and is gradually starting to enjoy pets and snuggles as she grows more in confidence. She will try and burrow herself into a blanket or on someone's lap for a snooze and likes working at a puzzle mat with food in it. Housetraining is still a work in progress but with regular trips to the garden she is making some improvements. Betty has a medical condition with her heart which currently does not require any medication, just monitoring. If you want to find out any more about this condition please contact the team at Ballymena Rehoming Centre. If you are interested in offering Betty and Buttons their forever home together please submit an adoption application and include either Betty or Buttons as a 'Favourite' dog. You only need to fill in one application to register your interest in rehoming both dogs. Thank you!
