New Year and a new home for Monty and Fergus!

Monty and Fergus

The spotlight is on another two dogs at the West Calder Rehoming Centre who are hoping the New Year is going to bring them a very special forever home.

Over the next few weeks, the focus will be on Lurcher Monty and Jack Russell Terrier Fergus.

Both Monty and Fergus are full of fun and love playing with their toys! Monty loves to play a game of catch with his family and he especially likes a squeaky toy! While Fergus has a great time chasing his favourite ball around the garden. After a day spent playing with toys, these pooches like a little bit of pampering and love to have a cosy bed to snuggle up into.

Monty and Fergus are both in need of a calm and loving home with understanding and patient owners. These active boys are also looking to have a garden of their own where they can run and around and play.

Monty and Fergus have a lot of love to give to their future owners but sadly they have been waiting for some time to find a home of their own.

The West Calder team hope that bringing these two pooches into the spotlight will help them to find their very own special someone.

Monty is a 5 year old Lurcher who loves nothing more than spending time with his loved ones! He is an incredibly loving and affectionate boy who wants to make friends with everyone and soak up as much attention and tummy rubs as he can! If he could fit on your knee, he would snooze there each day! Monty is a lively boy who loves to play with his toys, set off for walks as well as learn new tricks and engage with his family during training. Monty is absolutely a people-pooch and he loves to be around his family so much that he can find it hard to be apart from them! Monty is looking for patient and understanding owners who can spend time with him throughout the day to keep him company and provide all the love and companionship he needs.

Fergus is a 4 year old Jack Russell Terrier. He is a sensitive soul who can become easily overwhelmed in new or unfamiliar situations. Fergus loves to be out and about exploring the great outdoors and he loves going on his walks, jumping into the car to seek out new adventures and he adores having his own garden where he can run around and play with some squeaky toys! This wee Terrier’s nose never stops and he is an expert at sniffing out a tasty treat! Fergus enjoys being in the company of his loved ones and he is a sweet boy with his those he knows and trusts. However, he can also be worried by new people and so his new owners will need to be patient and understanding in order to build up a strong bond with him.

Monty’s ideal forever home will be a quiet adult only home with owners who know and love the Lurcher breed! Fergus would love to find a peaceful home with children aged over 16 years old and with few visitors. Fergus is happy to walk with dogs he knows but he would be happiest as the only pet at home.

The focus on Monty and Fergus will culminate in the latest Spotlight Sunday which takes place at the West Calder Rehoming Centre on Sunday 9th February 2020 from 12pm to 4pm. Spotlight Sunday offers the pawfect opportunity to find out everything you can about Monty and Fergus and see if you can offer them their forever home!
