Dogs Trust Merseyside seeks extra large sofas for giant rescue dogs

Dogs Trust Merseyside is looking for dog lovers with room in their hearts – and on their sofas – for three of the largest dogs they have ever cared for.

Together Oscar, Kiea and Cooper tip the scales at 22 stone - equivalent to a female polar bear – and now the loveable giants are hoping big hearted dog lovers fall in love with them as they are ready to take up space in homes of their own.

Vicky Lester, Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said:

“I can’t remember a time when we were looking after three such large dogs. They all have big personalities too and really are adorable.

“Cooper behaves like a puppy! He can be very giddy so would suit an active family and he could live with teenagers. Kiea is very different to Cooper. She is a gentle girl who is looking for a quiet home and then there’s Oscar, who is the more serious of the three! He does love to play but is happy to do his own thing and entertain himself.”

18-month-old Crossbreed Cooper doesn’t like to be left home alone so will need a family that are around much of the time, especially whilst he settles in and four-year-old Oscar, also a Crossbreed, is looking for a home with adults only so he can lap up all the love. Crossbreed Kiea likes to get out and about but when it comes to her home life, she would like a family that doesn’t have too many people coming and going.

Vicky says:

“They really are beautiful dogs and, just like all our dogs, deserve to find wonderful new homes. They are going to become a huge part of the lives of their new families, in more ways than one!”
