Best paws forward to raise pounds for hounds
Dogs Trust Ilfracombe has had a very special four-legged visitor this week, who has been on an extra-special ‘walkies’.
Labradoodle Ghyllie and his owners Mark and Anna Keleher have been on a 150 miles sponsored walk, raising money for Dogs Trust. Having started in Torbay on Saturday 11 May, their backpacking adventure saw them pass through Seaton and Watchet, before arriving at the Ilfracombe rehoming centre on Wednesday 22 May.
So far, Ghyllie and his humans have raised an amazing £780, with more funds due to come in.
However, despite stopping off at Dogs Trust Ilfracombe for a rest, a cuppa and a tour of the rehoming centre, that isn’t the end of the trio’s fantastic adventure – now they are walking back home again, which is a further 100+ miles!
If you Ghyllie, Anna and Mark out and about, do say hello – and if you would like to add to their fundraising pot, you can do so by visiting their online JustGiving page.
Meanwhile, if you would like to take on your own challenge and fundraise for Dogs Trust, you can get more information, tips and ideas on our Dogs Trust fundraising webpage.
