Bikers rove in to meet Rover at Dogs Trust Darlington

15th anniversary of biker donations at local dog rescue centre

Bikers from the Hartlepool Misfits Motorcycle Club have been welcomed by staff and dogs alike at Dogs Trust Darlington for their 15th annual visit and donation to the charity. The Sadberge Rehoming Centre was attended by more than 30 leather clad bikers who all brought gifts of treats, and blankets for the canine residents.

Speaking on behalf of the Club, Misfits MCC Chairman Andrew Clements said:

“We love everything Dogs Trust stands for and the reason we come back every year is because we know our donations are needed and will benefit the lives of the dogs at the Rehoming Centre. It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years but it’s a fantastic feeling when you know you’re contributing to the wellbeing of animals in need.”

Sue Embleton, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Darlington, said:

“We are very grateful for the continued support of the Misfits MCC. This kind donation will help us do all we can to ensure our dogs are as comfortable as possible in kennels whilst they await their forever homes.”
