In the spotlight at Darlington - Roxy!
Meet lively one-year-old Lurcher Roxy
Hi, my name is Roxy; I’m a one-year-old Lurcher who came into Dogs Trust Darlington in December last year due to my owner’s ill health. Since then I’ve been patiently waiting to meet my special someone and head off to my new home. I don’t get spotted by many visitors as my kennel is in a quieter part of the centre so I thought I would do a blog post to tell you all about me.
I’m a very lively girl who enjoys playing with her toys and my carers say that I am full of beans whatever that means. I'm very affectionate, playful and although I can have the occasional giddy moment that’s just because I like having fun.
Recently I had a sleepover at my canine carers home; we had a great time watching TV, playing with toys and stretching out on the sofa. I was a very good girl and Aless said that she was very pleased with me. I slept well and they now know that my house training is good.
In my new home I am looking for:
- A secure garden to play in
- Someone who will continue my training, in particular focus work when I am around other dogs
- I can live with children aged 11+
- Someone who is around most of the time to help me settle in
- Lots of fun & good times
For anyone that appreciates the cheeky Lurcher nature and is up for a bit of fun I could be just the one.
