If rescue dogs were people
Ever wondered what your pet would be like if it were a human; what voice it would have, what its hobbies would be or what job it would do? The team at Dogs Trust Ballymena have some theories about their canine residents and have put together a list of personal ads on behalf of their dogs based on what they think these canines would be like if they were human; in a bid to secure new homes.
As a human: Chica is everyone’s friend and enjoys regular exercise. She prefers bottled spring water and is a great listener.
As a human: Ollie is a DJ at the weekend. In his spare time he is a friend to the environment, campaigns to reduce global warming and loves surfing. Ollie likes spending time with his family.
Breed: Shetland Sheepdog
As a human: Sapphire is the typical lady of the house and likes to vacation in the countryside during summer for some peace and quiet.
Breed: Bichon Frise
As a human: Pearl works in the local shop and likes to know everyone’s business for a good old gossip. She is single but would love a similar companion.
Breed: Shih Tzu
As a human: Jack is a mechanic by trade and always forgets to take his boots off when he gets home. He likes to watch car racing on TV at full volume as well as indulging in a little flutter at the weekend.
Age: Less than six months
Breed: Labrador Cross
As a human: He was always popular in school and played sports; rugby was his favourite. Odin likes to keep fit and meet new people.
Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier
As a human: Poppy is that friend who holds everyone’s stuff on a night out. She is a keen festival goer and is planning her first holiday with her friends to Ibiza.
Breed: Springer Spaniel
As a human: Tasha is a hopeless romantic and likes to keep tissues handy while watching sad films. She has aspirations of settling down and becoming an author.
Breed: Shih Tzu
As a human: This girl is the princess of sarcasm and sass without even trying. She always has the latest mobile phone device and is a big fan of the grim emoji face on social media.
Breed: Yorkshire Terrier
As a human: Missie is a proud mother who spearheaded the neighbourhood watch committee in her area. When something’s not right she fixes it. Always asks to speak to a manager.
