Rescue and Rehoming

Dogs Trust rehoming centres are designed to offer everything an abandoned dog needs to get them back on their paws. We recognise that for the vast majority of dogs, their fairy tale ending would be to end up in a person's home.

However, for a wide variety of reasons, some dogs end up in our care, and it is our responsibility to make their stay with us as comfortable as possible. From our dedicated Canine Carers and Training and Behaviour Advisors, to our Ambulance Drivers and the Shared Adoption Scheme, every member of staff in our rehoming centres plays a crucial role, and we couldn't do it without them.

You could be there for stray and abandoned dogs by funding a Canine Carer to care for dogs on a daily basis, or a Training and Behaviour Advisor to offer a tailored training programme for dogs who need a little extra help before they’re ready to find their forever home.
