Dogs Trust

COVID-19 info: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public but you can still adopt some of our dogs: take a look at their profiles to see which ones. We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe.

Susie from Kenilworth (West Midlands)

We met Susie in October 2019 at Dogs Trust Kenilworth and felt an instant connection to her. We then discovered she had trust issues due to previous abuse, she was very nervous and aggressive but her eyes screamed out that she just wanted to feel love. Fast forward to May 2020 with many months of trust building, small steps towards her opening her heart, love and showing her no one will ever cause her harm ever again. Susie is now a completely different character, her cheeky personality is slowly starting to come to light and her trust has blossomed. An adopted dogs love is incomparable to anything else you’ve ever felt, they not only love with their heart but they love with their eyes. They will never be able to thank you enough for giving them another chance at life and you will never be able to love another as deeply as you do them!
