When we agreed to foster a dog, a Lurcher was not remotely on our mind. Enter Tigger, who wormed his way so far into our extended family's hearts that we adopted him.
His ideal day is spent sharing the couch with his head on our lap being stroked.
Tigger is brilliant in the house, and is loved by everyone who meets him . He does get jealous of the computer taking our attention from him, so he works his head under our arm, and onto the keyboard and mouse pad, completely stopping us working,
We are having to do some training to get him sociable with other dogs outside, but he is progressing, and we expect to get him as comfortable outside as in.
I am told that the Dogs Trust have trouble re-homing Lurchers, but if you are looking for a dog that will give you unconditional love and companionship, a Lurcher will give you it in spades!
