Covid-19 update April 2021: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public for general browsing. We’re still rehoming virtually and we’re here to help if you can no longer care for your dog. Please don’t visit, or travel to our centres unless you have already been matched with a dog, or are leaving donations at one of our contact-free drop off points.

George from Evesham (Worcestershire)

We adopted George in November 2013 after our old rescue dog Ben had passed away. The house felt empty without a dog in the family. The moment we were introduced to George (Bichon/Poodle cross) we fell in love with him. I knelt down on the floor to greet him and he ran up to me and kissed my nose. He was such a beautiful boy, quite anxious as he’d been rehomed once all ready, 4 year’s before but as soon as he came home with us a week later he settled into his new routine. We adopted another dog, Poppy a few weeks later and they became the best of friends. Poppy taught George that life could be fun instead of scary. Sadly we lost our darling boy in February this year but I’m so pleased he came to us and spent 4 very happy years as part of our family. I would recommend adopting an older dog to anyone, we only had George in our lives for 4 years but he gave us so much love and taught us so much in that short time, I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
