Sammy from Darlington

I moved into my new home in September as my mum wanted me to be closer because I had just come out of hospital after being diagnosed with a heart condition. I was becoming trapped in my own home. My condition was getting worse, I didn't know anyone and I was spending most of my time in my house so I decided to go up to dogs trust. As soon as I walked through the gates I saw my boy. I didn't have to look round, he was there. We took him for a walk round the field and I wanted to take him right then but had to wait for the paperwork to be done. That night I bought him his new bed, toys, bowls, everything! He has now been home six months and has changed my life! We are out every morning and night and he is constantly making me smile. Last Saturday someone tried braking into my home and he woke me up before scaring them away and he then slept by the door all night protecting both his home and his mummy. I really would be lost without him. I was falling quickly into depression and he saved me. He is my world.
