Are you right for Ozzy?

Looking for a lively companion with a nose for adventure and a heart full of potential? Meet Ozzy, a spirited six-year-old Trailhound with a big personality and a love for life’s simpler pleasures—like a good sniff, a game of tug, and some quality time with his favourite people. Ozzy is searching for an active, adult home (children 16+) where he can be the only pet. While he would love regular doggy pals for walks and playdates, he much prefers having his home comforts all to himself. As he is used to kennel life, Ozzy will need time and patient guidance to adjust to a home environment—but with the right support, he will thrive. A secure private garden is a must for this curious hound, so he can safely explore and potter about. He will also benefit from a quiet space of his own, where he can relax and settle after a busy day. Owners will need to build up any alone time gradually, keeping initial leaving hours to a minimum.

Is Ozzy right for you?

Ozzy is a food-loving, fun-chasing, toy-wrestling goofball once he is comfortable—and his cheeky side is sure to bring a smile to your face. He might come across a little serious at first, but give him time and he will reward you with zoomies, play bows, and his trademark wiggle. True to his houndy nature, Ozzy’s nose is always leading the way, and he loves nothing more than a good scent trail to follow. He travels well in the car but does need a crate or guard, as he is known to try his luck at claiming the front seat! He is happiest when busy—whether that is engaging in training, playing with toys, or exploring somewhere new. He must be kept on-lead in public and will need careful management around food and high-value items, but he is smart, motivated, and keen to learn, especially when treats are involved! Ozzy is looking for a confident, experienced owner who enjoys getting outdoors and understands that settling into home life might take time. With a consistent routine and plenty of positive reinforcement, Ozzy has all the makings of a brilliant companion. Ready to help this handsome hound hit his stride? Ozzy could be just the buddy you are looking for.
