Are you right for Rune?

Rune can live with high school aged children but will need to be the only pet at home as he is avoidant of other dogs. He's going to need a family with someone there most of the time, and alone time can be built up gradually. We have no background information for him.

Is Rune right for you?

Poor Rune had been struggling to settle into our care but lots of TLC from his carers has helped him relax. He just loves people and is very friendly, and will happily launch himself onto any available laps! Rune walks beautifully on his lead but he does lack confidence, particularly when he's somewhere new. A family who will help him settle at his own pace would be ideal for him, but also boosting his confidence as he goes. Rune doesn't like to be alone and we'd suggest his new family give him plenty to do when he's by himself, and build up any time that he needs to spend alone gradually. Rune has met other dogs at the centre and although he has been friendly, he doesn't really interact with them. We think he's not entirely sure what to do around them, and so does nothing! Once he has settled in at home, some friendly dogs for walks would be great for him, enabling him to pick up some social cues and be more relaxed. Rune is an absolutely smashing lad just bursting with potential, and definitely one for the Staffy fans.
