Are you right for Chappo?

Meet Chappo – a strikingly handsome Shar Pei who is ready to find his forever home! He is looking for a loving family that will happily and actively continue his training journey. Chappo does experience some anxiety when left alone, so it's important that he finds a home where he will have plenty of companionship, especially during his settling-in period. His new family should be prepared to work on gradually increasing the time he spends alone. In his previous home, Chappo enjoyed the company of regular visitors of all ages, but since joining us, he has shown a bit of caution when meeting new people. With time, patience, and a gentle approach, he will learn to feel comfortable in new environments. Ideally, his new home will have a quieter atmosphere with limited visitors, or they should be willing to follow a plan to help Chappo adjust to visitors. Chappo absolutely adores lounging in the sunshine! While a private garden isn’t essential, having access to some outdoor space would be preferable. Chappo can be sensitive around his handling, and therefore would thrive best in a home with older secondary school children, though he could manage visits from younger kids with supervision. Chappo is currently on medication for a skin condition, which is likely to require ongoing care. Financial support may be available to help with his medical needs.

Is Chappo right for you?

Chappo is a three-year-old Shar-Pei with the most charming personality! This sweet boy has a knack for forming deep connections with his favourite humans. At first, he might come across as a bit reserved, but given a little space and a few tasty treats, and soon enough, he’ll be nudging you for cuddles. Chappo found his way into our care when his previous owner couldn’t look after him anymore, and has sadly been looking for his forever home for a little while now. This delightful foodie is always on the lookout for tasty snacks and loves to play with his toys, making everyone around him smile with his quirky, endearing antics. When he’s not busy munching or playing, you’ll find Chappo happily snuggled up in his cosy bed. However, there are a couple of things this lovable guy is not too keen on—like water, mud, and being left alone. Chappo is a genuinely special boy, eager to become a loyal and entertaining companion for the right person. Are you the one Chappo has been looking for? Apply online today!
