Are you right for Ranger?

If you are looking for a fun-loving, full-of-beans companion to keep you on your toes and fill your days with adventure, Ranger might just be your dream dog. This 10-month-old Saluki-Staffie Cross is bursting with personality and energy. He is super friendly, always wagging his tail, and keen to say hello to everyone he meets. Life is just so exciting for Ranger, and he is looking for an equally enthusiastic home that can match his playful spirit and help him channel it with positive, reward-based training. Ranger has a real zest for life—he loves his walks, enjoys doggy friends when out and about, and is always up for a bit of fun. He could live with confident children aged 5 and over, though younger ones may find him a bit much at first. He is still learning not to jump up when excited as he can be a bit full-on during greetings! He would love a home where people are keen to get stuck into active training, enjoy being outdoors, and are ready to help him settle into a steady routine.

Is Ranger right for you?

Ranger is looking for a home that will help him burn off his energy in all the right ways, and guide him through the world with calm, positive support. He is currently best suited to being the only dog in the home, but he enjoys meeting other dogs and could potentially live with one in the future, pending dog introductions. He is still young and has some puppy-like habits but with the right balance of exercise, enrichment, and company, he is learning to settle well—he has already shown he can be left for short periods once he feels secure. Ranger travels well in the car, takes treats gently, and is super affectionate once he is settled. He is not a fan of water, but he loves chasing balls (even if he is not quite sure what to do with them yet) and absolutely thrives when given opportunities to sniff, explore and learn. He is not housetrained yet, but he is a clever lad and with consistency and guidance, he will soon get the hang of things. Ranger will also need help learning to stay calm in exciting new places, as he can get overaroused quite quickly. If you are after a young, bright, and bouncy dog to share adventures with—and you are ready to put the time and love into training—you will be richly rewarded by the bond you build with this brilliant boy.
