Are you right for Snoop?

Snoop is a 2-year-old Whippet cross with energy to burn and love to give. He is currently living with his original owner on our Home Stay scheme while we find him his forever home. Snoop is looking for an experienced, active home that can provide plenty of physical and mental enrichment, along with the structure and consistency of a daily routine. He would thrive with people who are confident handling strong, excitable dogs and can continue to guide him through his energetic behaviours with calm, reward-based training. Snoop will need a secure, private garden with 6ft fencing where he can let off steam safely and will need to be the only pet in the home, although he’d enjoy social walks with friendly dogs after calm and controlled introductions. Due to his bouncy and enthusiastic nature, he’s best suited to a home with older, dog-savvy children aged 14+. He can be left alone for short periods and settles well when left - but much prefers the company of his people and will always be up for a game or snuggle when you're around.

Is Snoop right for you?

Snoop is a sweet, spirited boy who loves attention and isn’t shy about asking for it! He’s snuggly, playful, and happiest when he’s involved in day-to-day life. He enjoys hard chew toys and will happily amuse himself - but he’s also a classic Velcro dog who loves being close to his people, whether it’s curled up beside you or dropping a toy in your lap to start a game. Snoop is still learning the ropes when it comes to self-control - he’s excitable with visitors and can be boisterous when greeting people. Out and about, Snoop is generally calm in most environments, but he can become overexcited around other dogs, and would love to play with every dog he meets. This bright, affectionate lad would benefit massively from consistent structure, positive reinforcement training, and patient owners who can help him build his focus and confidence. In the right hands, Snoop has the potential to blossom into a wonderful, loyal companion who brings fun, energy, and plenty of personality into your life. AWE licence number 13090 by West Lothian Council.
