Are you right for Cody?

Say hello to Cody! This playful, energetic, friendly Springer Spaniel x Lurcher is looking for his forever home, where he can enjoy all the fusses, play fetch and have the zoomies with his favourite friends. At 3 years and 9 months old, he does need some ongoing training in his new home, with regards to settle, walking nicely on lead and learning to keep all four paws on the ground when greeting new people! Cody is a curious boy who loves exploring new environments and having a good sniff. He is happy with all forms of handling, from cuddles to vets – he can just become very excited and wiggly. So, due to his wiggly, bouncy nature, we feel he would be better suited to a home with older children, aged 14yrs and over. Visting children could be slightly younger at 11 years and older, as long as instructions are managed and he is not allowed to jump up to greet them.

Is Cody right for you?

Cody has been a bit of an escape artist in previous homes, so he would need a very secure garden to ensure he doesn’t have any more great escapes! He has mixed with dogs here at the centre and may live with another dog, depending on a successful mix here at the centre. He can be full-on and boisterous with new dogs, so we feel he would be best in the home with a confident, laid-back dog who will tolerate this well, as he learns to be more polite greeting other dogs. Cody is a handsome, bundle of energy who can’t wait to go bounding into the next chapter of his life, and find his forever home. He has a lot of love to give and will be a fantastic addition to any home.
