Are you right for Willow?

Willow is a loving German Shepherd who can’t wait to start the next chapter of her life. She is friendly but can be over-the-top with her play. With no history of living with children she isn’t going to be one for young families, but older teenagers should be fine, as long as they are happy with her! Willow can live with another dog, pending a successful mix at centre prior to rehoming. She is on long-term medication for hip dysplasia, and this is something that her new family will need to consider.

Is Willow right for you?

Willow is around 6 years old and came into our care after being found as a stray. She is a sweet and playful girl who really enjoys being active, despite the pain in her hip. Willow will benefit from a family who will be willing to keep her mind engaged with enrichment, as well as continuing her training. As we had no home history for her one of the staff took her home for a weekend away from kennels. She’ll need a helping hand learning to settle, especially when people are around as she is so keen to play or interact. This is really manageable though, as she is quite happy being left in a separate room behind a baby gate. She’d still appreciate time left fully home alone to be built up from scratch, as she can get worried when people leave. Fortunately, she also showed that she is just super travelling in the car. Whether she’ll want to get out is a different matter! Willow would love a family to take a chance on her and she’s sure to melt the heart of any fans of the breed. If you think you could be her perfect match why not add her as a favourite today?
