Are you right for Domino?

Domino is a 6 month old handsome Dalmatian who is looking for a home where he can be given time and patience to settle, where his people are willing to continue his training to help him grow into a well-rounded, mature boy. Domino is the most lovable boy, he still has his puppy like ways and greets everyone he meets with the waggiest bum ever and lots of kisses! He is super clever and picking up so much training already, he has mastered a 'sit' and is currently working well on his 'down' and 'drop'. Domino, or Dom as his fosterers call him, has been through a lot of changes in his short life and is a little overwhelmed at the moment. Domino needs a new home that understands Dalmatians and their needs, who are willing to work on his house training, continue his crate training and work on his reactivity to dogs. Domino doesn't like being left alone either and so this needs to be slowly built up over time, as he builds his relationships with his new people and settles, feeling secure and decompressed in his new home.

Is Domino right for you?

Domino would like an active home, where his busy brain can be kept enricched both physically and mentally! He LOVES to dig in the sand and play tug of war, it is his favourite game. He also loves us humans, he thinks he is a lot smaller than he is and tries to be a lap dog, which is very cute but not super practical bless him! Domino is currently in foster with 2 large male dogs, he was unsure at first but soon came to love them, desperate to play with them and copy them. When seeing dogs out and about, Domino does react on the lead and bark at them, he needs reassurance that it is ok and gentle guidance on how to behave instead, luckily he loves food and so treats help distract, training on this will need to continue in his new home. Domino is currently learning how to settle in his foster home, he is enjoying discovering enrichment activities and long lasting chews, helping him be able to decompress and switch off in his crate as he is a stressy boy currently. He can be a little scared of sudden or loud noises but he is improving in all of these areas the more he settles and learns in foster. Domino cannot live with cats and is unsure around small dogs, he has met a few with us here but shown a lot of interesting in chasing them and is unsure how to interact with them. Bigger dogs, as long as introduced correctly, he has a great relationship with and could live with another dog in his new home pending a successful meet. Domino is going to make the absolute bestest best friend for the right home, given a little time to shine! He so deserves his happy ever after and to not be given up on, he will repay you with the best cuddles and a best friend for life.
