Are you right for Pip?

Pip is an adorable 8 month old crossbreed looking for a calm home with patient adopters. This sweet sensitive girl has come into our care as a stray and has a nervous nature, although we are starting to see her cheeky character come out each day she is with us. Pip's new home must have a secure private garden, she is very small so it's important all fencing is checked for gaps. She prefers to make new friends at her own pace, so adopters who are happy to give her time and space to settle in and not be tempted to rush her will be ideal. Gradually making friends is rewarded by Pip's endearing and affectionate nature. She has limited experience of walking on a lead and has shown fearful behaviour around dogs and noises, so is looking for a family who are open to training and continuing building Pip's confidence. Pip is suited to living with calm, older secondary school aged children but needs to be the only animal in her new home.

Is Pip right for you?

Pip is an adorable, shy little pup with very playful side. Pip likes all manner of toys, particularly playing tug and fetching small soft toys and collecting them on her bed. Having a sensitive nature means Pip has likely had limited experiences so far, she is worried about getting in the car and is just starting to get used to the idea of wearing a lead, so her adopters will need to be happy for her to explore her home and garden until she feels ready to start going for walks. She can be worried by noises and sudden movements so a quiet environment with few visitors while she settles in is best suited to her needs. Pip is likely to need some guidance with toilet training and is over all best suited to a more rural or quiet residential area, so she can more easily build her confidence when ready to go for walks. After a few meets, once Pip has made a new friend she is an affectionate little pup who gets very excited to see her favourite people and loooves a neck scratch and to sit on a lap.
