Are you right for Poppet?

Poppet is a very nervous girl who has made remarkable progress in our care. She is ready to take the steps into a calm and understanding home with adopters who will take things at her pace. Poppet is looking for a home with minimal leaving hours which will help her settle into home life and have a consistent routine to build trust on. She ideally will need a home who understand her breed traits, anxieties and ultimately give her the time to build a bond. Poppet is looking to be the only pet in the home as she has shown to be reactive to other dogs. Poppet is not a candidate open plan living and there must be the ability to separate her from the kitchen. Due to her worries, Poppet would be best suited to live with older teenagers in the home. She will need direct access to a private and secure garden as it is unlikely that she will be going out on walks for a while. Poppet would require ongoing behavioural support from the centre team to best support her and would also benefit from home visits.

Is Poppet right for you?

Poppet is such a gem of a dog who has found so much more confidence from when she first arrived. She still has lots more confidence to gain and can find the World quite overwhelming. With her favourite people she will nudge them with her nose and follow them around to see what they are doing throughout the day. Poppet loves finding the best smells out on her walks and exploring the long grass and shrubbery. In her kennel she likes carrying around her toys, bringing them to her bed and watching the World go by.
