Are you right for Bram?

Bram is a lovely 2-year-old Border Collie who’s currently enjoying life in our Home Stay scheme while he waits for his perfect match. He’s looking for a calm, patient home with people who understand sensitive dogs and can help him feel safe and secure as he continues to build his confidence. Bram would love a private, fully enclosed garden with 6ft fencing where he can relax and enjoy some gentle outdoor time. He can live with older, dog-savvy teenagers aged 14 and up, and would prefer to be the only pet in the home so he can have all the attention to himself. He finds car travel worrying, so a home with access to quiet walks nearby would really suit him. Because he can be easily startled when out and about, Bram will need to remain on lead when walking, and he’ll be rehomed with a lead-walking agreement in place to help keep him safe while he grows in confidence. With the right environment and lots of gentle encouragement, Bram has all the potential to thrive.

Is Bram right for you?

Bram is a thoughtful, affectionate companion once he’s had time to settle and build trust. While he can be unsure in new situations, he forms close bonds with his people and seeks out gentle affection and reassurance. He enjoys playing with his toys, particularly his ball, and will often entertain himself nearby. He also loves being brushed and will relax completely during grooming. He’s alert and observant on walks, often taking his time to sniff and investigate, though he can become overwhelmed by too much activity or unexpected noises. Bram is happiest when his environment feels predictable and safe. With patient, positive reinforcement, he’s already made great progress, showing he has the capacity to grow in confidence with the right support. If you’re looking for a loyal, sensitive companion and have the experience, understanding and time to help Bram continue his journey, he could be the perfect match. AWE licence number 13090 by West Lothian Council.
