Are you right for Rolo?

Sweet Rolo is an 8 month old American Bulldog looking for a home that can offer him the time and love he needs. He would like to be the only pet in the home but would benefit from having some calm canine companions to socialise with once settled to help build his socialisation skills with other dogs as he grows up. He could join a home with children of Secondary School Age who are comfortable with larger dogs that may jump up as Rolo can do this when excited and can still show puppy like behaviours such as mouthing. He will need help learning all the basics in his new home including house training and would benefit from learning to walk on a loose lead as he can be strong on lead when wanting to investigate something. Rolo will need his own, secure garden to help with training and give him somewhere to burn off some energy and play with his new family.

Is Rolo right for you?

At 8 months old, Rolo is still very much a puppy and is looking for a home that can offer him the stability and time he needs to settle in and learn the skills to set him up for life. He is a sweet boy who loves people and come sometimes get overexcited showing puppy like behaviours such as jumping up, mouthing and humping. Our training and behaviour team can help advise you of how to help teach Rolo some alternative behaviours and have some positive outlets for this excitement. Rolo travels well in the car and has been friendly with dogs, he is very playful and would benefit from learning some socialising skills as he does not always show his excitement to see other dogs in the most appropriate way. Rolo has so much potential and will make a wonderful, fun companion for a family that can offer him the time he needs to settle into his new home. Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.
