Gemma Whitlaw, Head Coach
Gemma has a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from University of Bristol. Since graduating from University Gemma ran her own behaviour business offering group classes and one to one behaviour consultations. Additionally, she worked in a large veterinary hospital. She is now very excited to be part of the Dog School Team.
Blanka Krkoskova, Senior Coach
Blanka is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and has a Diploma in Advanced Canine Behaviour from the British College of Canine Studies. She is currently studying for the Canine Principles’ Canine Behaviour Professional Diploma.
Blanka is passionate about animal welfare and her experience of working in an animal rehoming centre has shown her how too many dogs need rehoming due to avoidable issues. Blanka's journey with Dogs Trust started when she volunteered for the both Bristol and Dorset Dog Schools, before joining the Dorset team as Coach. She is now Senior Coach in Hampshire, and Blanka is enthusiastic about sharing how the right approach can make a positive difference to the life of dogs and their families.
Tasha, Coach
Tasha has always loved all animals but has focused mainly on her passion for dogs, completing a level three extended diploma in Animal Management at college.
Tasha has three dogs of her own; two black Labradors (4 year old Alfie & 1 year old Sammy) and a 1 year old black Labrador mix border collie, Lucas, who are as crazy as each other, as you can imagine!
Imogen, Coach
Imogen is very excited to join the Dogs Trust Dogs School. She has recently completed her Animal Management qualification at college and is now a student member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
At home Imogen owns a Border Collie cross Springer Spaniel called Malcolm. He was adopted from Dogs Trust in 2010. Malcolm inspired Imogen to look deeper into dogs and has since trained him to do many tricks. The best being ‘spin’ which he enjoys the most!
She is most interested in fearful dogs, and her favourite breed is the Labrador Retriever. She continues to complete courses and attends seminars/workshops to improve her knowledge even further.
