Are you right for Capri?

Capri and Mini are a bonded pair of 2-year 7-month-old Shih Tzus who must be rehomed together. These sweet girls are shy and worried when meeting new people and need a calm, adult-only home where they can take their time to settle. Capri can be conflicted around food and has shown a little guarding, so they are fed separately to keep things peaceful. They are low-energy dogs who prefer a gentle pace of life and are happiest pottering around rather than going on long walks. A secure, private garden is essential to help build their confidence, support lead training, and offer a safe space to explore especially as both girls are flight risks.

Is Capri right for you?

Capri and Mini have had a very sheltered life and will need all training from scratch, including house training and lead walking. They cannot be left alone at first, and alone time must be built up very gradually. They’re not comfortable with being handled yet, so new owners must let them come forward at their own pace. With time, patience, and consistency, they’ll begin to build trust and confidence. If you have a quiet home, a secure garden, and the dedication to help two nervous little dogs grow into happy companions, Capri and Mini could be the perfect addition to your life as long as they stay together.
