Are you right for Finnegan?

Finnegan is a fun-loving, four-year-old Beagle with an adventurous spirit and curious nature. He’s seeking an active family who share his love for the outdoors, and who could provide him the physical and mental stimulation that he needs to thrive. He’ll also need adopters who are willing to work with him on some basic training, as not only will this be a great bonding exercise, but it will also keep his clever brain occupied. Due to a lack of information on Finnegan’s history with children, and his slight ‘indifference’ when first meeting people, we feel he would best be suited to a home with secondary-school aged kids. Finnegan is a sociable chap and enjoys the company of other friendly canines out on his walks. However, we are not yet sure how he feels about sharing indoor space and this is something that will need to be investigated before we allow him to go home with another dog. A garden of his own would be beneficial to support him with his housetraining, and so that he could enjoy a good, off-lead run about.

Is Finnegan right for you?

Typical of his breed, Finnegan is a real foody and looks forward to his mealtimes and enjoys eating out of food-based enrichment toys or puzzles! Always with his nose to the ground, Finnegan loves a good sniff about and is eager to be taken on long walks in exciting new places, where he could do lots of exploring! While he may not be overly tactile at first, once he feels comfortable, Finnegan has the potential to become more affectionate and does enjoy jumping up on a lap for a fuss.
