Are you right for Penelope Peach?

Bouncy, bright and brimming with love – Penelope is a one-year-old Mastiff Cross with a huge heart and a lot of puppy energy. She is looking for a home with children aged 10 or older who are comfortable around big, enthusiastic dogs who may still jump up when excited. Her ideal home would be one where cuddles are in good supply, training is kept fun and consistent, and where her humans understand that she is still learning the ropes. Penelope has no known experience of being left alone, so her leaving hours will need to be built up gradually once she is settled. She walks beautifully on-lead most of the time, and although she occasionally grabs the lead when overexcited, this is improving fast with the support of her training. She would love a private garden to explore and relax in. Penelope can live as the only dog or with a canine companion pending successful introductions. She has been calm and cooperative at the vet and during grooming. Although we have no history on how she travels, she is not fazed by traffic and happily jumps into the car.

Is Penelope Peach right for you?

Penelope is a clever, cuddly girl who simply loves people. She greets everyone like a friend, is curious about the world around her and enjoys gentle grooming and fuss from those she knows. This playful pup adores treats, loves her toys, and is always up for a game of chase or a big cuddle on the sofa. Because she can get a little overexcited with toys, Penelope will benefit from ongoing training to help her learn to stay calm during play. She may still jump up when her excitement gets the better of her, but with patient, positive guidance, she is making fantastic progress already. She already knows “sit” and is always keen to learn more, especially if there are treats involved. Penelope is eager to learn and even more eager to love. Penelope is looking for a family who can match her enthusiasm and guide her gently as she continues to grow into the wonderful companion she is becoming. If you are ready to welcome a sweet, smart, and slightly goofy young dog into your life, Penelope is ready to meet you!
