Dogs Trust

COVID-19 info: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public but you can still adopt some of our dogs: take a look at their profiles to see which ones. We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe.

Third time lucky!

Bear

Bear has met two potential new families since arriving at Dogs Trust West London (based in Harefield) but both bookings have fallen through due to no fault of his own.

Staff at the rehoming centre are hoping that his next family will be his 3rd time lucky!

Bear is a 7-month-old Rottweiler cross Akita puppy who has sadly found himself in kennels. He is a friendly boy who has made lots of 2 and 4 legged friends since being handed into us.

He absolutely loves his walks and going exploring on new adventures! He has met lots of dogs since arriving and is currently sharing his kennel with a Dalmatian who he is getting on well with and could potentially live with another dog, but this isn't essential.

He can be playful with other dogs and enjoys being off lead with them but isn't too over the top. He has been really enjoying his training sessions here at the centre and knows commands such as 'sit' and 'paw' but would benefit from learning more.

In his previous home, he had been left for up to 4 hours, but this was in the company of another dog so leaving hours will need to be built up gradually. Bear has previously lived with children and can live with children aged 10 and above if the children are sensible and comfortable being around a dog of his size. He was housetrained in his previous home but will need a refresher once home.

Bear will need a private garden to help him with this. He is suitable for first time owners.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you can provide a ‘yappy’ forever home for Bear. Call Dogs Trust West London on 01895 453 930 or pop down to the centre.
