Mac the Amazing Super Dog

Meet former Dogs Trust resident Mac

Former Dogs Trust resident Mac the Amazing Super Dog

Mac really is the true definition of "A Dog Is for Life".

Mac was adopted from Dogs Trust Darlington in 2004 at four years old and he has just celebrated his 15th "Gotcha Day" with his family last weekend at the grand age of 19.  We are sure you would agree that you could never guess his age from his photos.

At the age of 16 Mac needed to have major surgery to remove a tumour and his spleen. At the time his vets were unsure how he would cope with the surgery being a golden oldie however they were amazed when just three days after the operation he was well enough to go home. The vets gave him the name Super Dog and since then the nickname Mac the Amazing Super Dog has become his own.

Mac is living his best life running in the park, going to the beach, playing with his toys and snoozing on his comfy bed. This Happy Ever After story has touched the hearts of everyone at the centre and we send a huge thank you to Mac and his family for letting us share it with you all.

If you are looking for a new canine companion, then please consider a rescue. If you do visit a rehoming centre, why not think about adopting a golden oldie. Older dogs still enjoy going on adventures, have lots of life to live and love to give.

Check out the Darlingon Rehoming Centre page for information on dogs that are currently searching for their very own happy ever after.  Just imagine that you could be the reason that a dog like Mac lives such a fulfilling and happy life.
