Are you right for Whiskey?

Whiskey is looking for a calm and predicable home in an area with quieter walking routes with loving adopters who can give him the time he needs to settle in and advocate for him in situations he may find uncomfortable. He could live with children aged 14 and over who will play with him nicely and give him space to rest and relax when he needs. Whiskey could live with an established dog who will happily co-exist and engage in play with him. This will be pending successful meetings at the centre, living with another dog is not a necessity though, he would be happy with friendly walking buddies, he cannot live with cats or other small furries. Whiskey has a little training under his belt, does a lovely “sit” and is happy to engage in short and sweet training sessions. He has been housetrained in the past but may need a refresher in his new home, so access to a private, secure garden with high fencing is needed. Whiskey can be quite worried initially being left alone, so is looking for an adopter who is home the majority of the time, especially to begin with, any leaving time should be introduced slowly once he has had time to get used to his new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so he can relax and have a snooze! Whiskey will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Is Whiskey right for you?

Cheeky chappie Whiskey is a 1 year old Husky who is full of character once he gets to know you. He is a playful boy who turns back into a puppy with his toys, he will chase, bounce and throw them around, he especially loves a soft, squeaky toy. He loves a fuss and will lean in for more, if you do not take the hint he will rub himself all around you. He likes to go on walking adventures, exploring and sniffing everything in sight. This happy boy is looking for his new family, could it be you?
