Are you right for Desmond?

Desmond is looking for a home with active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He can live with children aged 14 years and over who are confident with a large dogs and can give him space to rest when needed. Desmond can be a little hesitant around other dogs, so is looking to be the only pet in the home with no visiting pets, so he can enjoy all of his adopter’s attention to himself, he would benefit from friendly and polite walking buddies. Desmond has little training under his belt, he could engage in training in short, sweet sessions with the help of a tasty treat. He will need a refresher on his housetraining in his new home so access to a private, secure garden with 6 ft solid fencing is needed. Desmond could settle in the home, so could be left for up to 2-4 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle in. Desmond will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Is Desmond right for you?

Cool dude Desmond is a 4 year old Mastiff Cross who is a true gentle giant. He likes a gentle fuss and will lean his head on you and give you a sad face to get you to give him more. He loves to explore, gentle sniffy walks in the woods are his favourite, he hasn’t shown much of an interest in toys so far, he will sniff them but then wander off. He is a foodie lad at heart, he’s not fussy on the type of treat, anything will do, he takes them gently from the hand. Desmond is looking for a new family to show him all the love and care he deserves.
