Are you right for Alan?

Say hello to our adorable Alan! He's a 2 year old Chihuahua looking for a patient, loving family that are willing to take on a nervous dog. Alan spends a lot of his time hiding in his kennel, however when he's given a bit of time, he does come out for a sniff and an investigate. Alan would be best suited as the only dog in the home as he can be fearful of other dogs. All children in the home would need to be 11yrs+ and able to give Alan the time and patience to come out of his shell in his own time. There is an incredibly sweet little man just waiting to be seen! He just needs the security of a loving, gentle home.

Is Alan right for you?

Alan is unlikely to make much progress here at the centre, although when he feels particularly brave he does approach and give a good sniff, but does get overwhelmed very easily. It will take some time for Alan to trust his people, so he would need to be able to come over in his own time and not be approached before he is ready. Alan may need some time to learn his basic skills like lead walking and toilet training as he hasn't had the best start in life so far. Alan is a big foodie, so we feel this would be a brilliant tool to make friends with him. If you could be the patient, kind, caring family Alan really needs, please apply!
