No dog should be left behind this Christmas.

Right now, we’re bracing ourselves for the busiest time of year. Over the festive period, around 100 stray and abandoned dogs will arrive in our care and these numbers continue to rise. In the weeks after Christmas, the situation worsens as even more dogs come through our doors - frightened, confused and in desperate need of love and safety.

You have the power to help turn fear into comfort for hundreds of stray and abandoned dogs this Christmas. Lola Lou is just one of hundreds of abandoned dogs who find themselves in our care each year. She was discovered alone in an empty flat - abandoned with no water, very little food, and no one to comfort her. For five long days she waited by the door, wondering if her owner would return. But no one came.

The flat was in a dreadful state. It was covered in faeces, and a note had been left with Lola Lou that read: “Everything in this flat I no longer want.” Thanks to your support, we were able to bring Lola Lou into our care and place her in a loving foster home, a safe space where she could begin to heal while we search for her forever family. Despite everything she’s been through, Lola Lou still has so much love to give. Sadly, hundreds more dogs will go through traumatising ordeals, just like Lola Lou had.
