Are you right for Heidi?

Meet Heidi and her best friend Maddie! These two ladies are 7 and 9 year old Shih Tzus looking for a quiet home together. They are very bonded, and can often be seen cuddled up together in the same bed in their kennel! Heidi and Maddie came into our care without very much history, but from getting to know them we think they would suit a home without too much hustle and bustle. Therefore, an adult only home or a family where the children are of secondary school age would be ideal for them. They could also potentially live with another calm, small dog after a successful meet here at the Centre. We do not know for certain if they can live with cats, but if proper introductions and management in the home takes place, they could potentially have a feline family member. These girls (especially Heidi!) love human company, so it would be great if their adopter can be with them as much as possible. Any leaving time will need to be gradually built up once they have settled into their new home.

Is Heidi right for you?

Heidi and Maddie have wonderfully sweet natures, with Heidi being more outgoing and her bestie Maddie following her lead. Maddie will need some help with her confidence building, but with the reassurance of Heidi, she should be just as affectionate with her adopter. These girls love to chill out in bed whenever they get the chance, but they also enjoy getting out for short walks and playing with their toys. A secure garden would be amazing for them to potter about in and sniff out any new smells during the day. If you think you could be the perfect match for this darling duo, please fill in an application form and include Heidi as a 'Favourite dog'. Please note, when applying for Heidi, you will be applying for Maddie as well. We are also open to the public on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12pm - 4pm for any questions about adoption.
