Are you right for Peggy?

Peggy is a three-year-old Pug cross. She is looking for a quiet home environment. She could share her home with older teenagers who are sensible and calm. She has good history of living with a cat and shows no instinct to chase animals. She could potentially live with cats and small furries. She would be best as the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the attention. Peggy is living off-site in a foster home. She is house-trained. She has been travelling well in the car recently but has history of being sick on long journeys. Peggy adores company and would love someone at home with her for much of the time. Peggy prefers to be where her foster carers are in the home. Being independent will need to be worked on gradually once settled.

Is Peggy right for you?

Peggy is utterly adorable and although she may come across as aloof and nervous when you first meet her it doesn’t take long to win her heart! Once you have built a bond, she loves to be near you and seeks you for comfort and reassurance. Peggy has a timid nature and will avoid situations that worry her. She is sensitive to noises both in the home and on walks and will quietly stare looking for the source. Peggy enjoys her walks and meeting other dogs. She would benefit from quieter walks initially whilst she grows in confidence. Peggy likes to interact with you with a tuggy toy. She adores human company more than anything! Her foster carers describe her as a ‘Velcro dog’, and a ‘very loveable little girl.’ She sleeps with them in the bedroom. She gives kisses and is very affection to the people she has a bond with.
