Are you right for Kipper?

Meet our stunning boy, Kipper! Kipper is a 1.5-year old Crossbreed looking for his forever home. He could live with another dog in the home, pending a successful meet here in the centre, but all children in the home must be at least 14yrs+ as he is quite worried initially. Kipper is a really lovely boy, and when he is comfortable with you, he loves a cuddle! He is happy to settle down next to you after a play with his toys - his favourite being tennis balls! Kipper settles really well in his kennel, so we hope this will translate well into home life! He loves to get out for walks, although he hasn't had a lot of experience walking on a lead before so he does need a bit of encouragement. He enjoys big sniffy walks, but can lack confidence so needs a gentle, patient owner that is willing to go at his pace & help him become the bravest boy we know he can be. Kipper, being an underconfident lad, does struggle with formal handling in a veterinary setting and has been muzzled as a precaution. We feel that with time, patience and a bond being built, he would cope a lot better. When first meeting, Kipper would prefer if you let him come round at his own pace and he will soon become your friend - he is the sweetest young man! He loves his food, and this is a huge aid in making friends and working on any training needs. He takes treats very gently, and gets incredibly excited at the prospect of a squeaky toy. We think he'll be the most amazing companion for a gentle, patient and understanding family.

Is Kipper right for you?

Kipper is a gorgeous man, with bags of potential to become a brilliant companion. He has only been around his siblings, so any time left on his own in the new place of residence would need to be built up slowly over time. Kipper has missed out on some basic training in his early life, so will need someone willing to work on house-training with him. He's an incredibly clever boy, so would pick this up very quickly! Kipper would benefit from a quieter home while he builds his confidence, but once he becomes braver, he would like to be a part of all the hustle and bustle.
