Are you right for Koda?

Koda is a two-year-old German Shepherd ideally looking for an owner who loves and knows the breed and can physically walk a strong dog on lead. He is a confident and friendly boy when meeting new people and enjoys being part of the action, but he will need someone who can continue to guide him positively as he builds on his social skills. Koda is sometimes vocal when he sees other dogs and is currently a little under-socialised, so he will benefit from ongoing training to help him feel more comfortable. He cannot live with cats, other dogs, small furries, or children under 14 as he is just not used to them. Koda enjoys his walks but can be unsure around traffic, so he’ll need patient support to build his confidence in busier environments As a big, strong lad, Koda will need someone who can manage him confidently on the lead while he continues his training.

Is Koda right for you?

Koda is a loyal and engaging companion who thrives on company and loves playtime. He has not been used to being left as his last owner took him to work with them and we think he could become vocal if he were on his own for too long, so any alone time will need to be built up gradually. With the right structure, consistent training, and plenty of mental and physical stimulation, Koda has the potential to flourish into a devoted and rewarding companion. He is looking for a new family through no fault of his own and has lots of love to give. Koda is not available to see at the centre, so make sure you favourite him on your application if you think he is the dog for you.
