Are you right for Milano?

Meet Marvelous Milano; an older German Shepherd who still has so much love to give. Milano is a wonderful boy who has spent a while in kennels and therefore may take some time to adjust to his new environment. He needs to be the only pet in the home but has been working on his dog interactions and now has a range of doggy friends. Milano can be nervous around people he doesn’t know and therefore, he would like an adult only home with no visiting children. With a couple of introductions he quickly opens up and adores company from his new friends. At times Milano likes to take himself away so that he can chill in his own space and relax, it would be ideal if in his forever home he could have his own area to be able to do this. He would also like a private and secure garden to enjoy off-lead fun with his family. Milano has been positively muzzle trained and he wears it really well- he would like this to be continue with his forever family. To ensure that a secure bond has been built, potential adopters will need to come to the centre for multiple meets before going home.

Is Milano right for you?

Milano is a stunning boy who once he has built a close bond with his handlers he loves to talk to them whilst they give him a fuss. He does have an anxious side and can initially struggle to trust people and is worried by other dogs, but this is something we have been working on and his confidence builds every day! Milano now has a range of doggy friends at the centre that he can play and walk around with, including off lead fun. He is partial to some tasty treats but does have some dietary requirements. He might just be the most intelligent dog at the centre, he adores his training with his favourite handlers and is always eager to show off what he knows, it is truly impressive! He is a warm-hearted boy who needs a home that will give him the time and patience he needs to show people how lovely he can be.
